I had downloaded both starsailor albums and listen to them both constantly, huge fan! Even saw them in december! I bought the first album about a year ago, and bought the second album last weekend. I dont download many mp3s, but i would definately say that i buy more cds, and buy better cds thanks to my ability to download them first!

i totally agree!! thanks to the ability of listening to certain songs, i'm able to buy cd's of artists/bands i've never heard before, or aren't even known in my small country...

I don't download complete cd's anymore, but mostly i just search for some songs by artists, and when i like them i go look for the cd's they have, and i go buy the ones i like the best...

But in some way, i think that Starsailor got the message, by placing snippets of their songs on the website....an example that most other bands should copy!
i think, that this is a good solution to answer the needs of both artist and musicfans Smile

WAH!!! I can't download anything on my computer because KAZZA doesn't work on it Sad

. So I just givemy friend an CD and a list of tracks (Never a full album by one artist) to burn on it. Then i'll go out and by the single or the album.

Agreed. If it wasn't for mp3 downloading, I would have discovered most of my favourite artists....Massive Attack, Rob Dougan, Vivian Green, Goldfrapp, U.N.K.L.E., Amy Winehouse and now, Starsailor.

And whenever I download and preview an album or any artist, I make sure that I buy it afterwards...however, the downside to mp3 downloading...it has cost me so much money....all those albums I've imported from America and UK from artists I cannot find here in Australia!

erm, i usually download music, but i this way I could meet other kind of music, -like singles hard to find-

usually i hear one song, & if i like it, choose other.... with 2 good songs, I buy the CD, is the only way that I see for choose GOOD MUSIC, cause ihad mistakes, one name sounds good, i bought it, and... the music is a rubbish!!

then anyways, i download music, but i buy the CD's too
