EDIT: It is the album! I have class now and need to get some groceries, but I'll be able to listen during the webchat Smile

Lucky you ! I went back home for lunch and saw that I had something under my door waiting for me, so I started running in the hall... Usually I don't receive any letter, this time it was a brochure I asked for a long time ago Confused . Seems that the letter delivery takes more time in Marseille than everywhere else in the world !

Oh my gosh, its great. Had a quick listen before uni today and am now listening to it. Tell Me Its Not Over is fab - I just think its more like their first album which is my favourite of all of them.
Not got a favourite yet a couple of listens needed. But no offence to On The Outside, I prefer this one.

Well, I've heard the album three times as background music.

I really love:
- Neon Sky
- Stars and Stripes
- The Thames

I'm OK with:
- Tell Me It's Not Over
- Boy In Waiting
- All The Plans

And the rest of the songs I cannot differentiate yet.

Went into HMV today for a look around and saw a few CDs there on the new releases section and only one had been taken from the looks of it Sad Hopefully some more have been sold and they were just keeping the shelf stacked up.

Sales have been good this week and we're still hoping for a top 20 place.

Did you order it from the Record Store and have they advised you that it has been sent out?

As far I am aware, all backlog and pre-orders were cleared by Monday/Tuesday, so you should have had it by now.

Well, after some more listening my judgement of the album is as follows: it's a great album, except for the first 2 songs. I think it'd have been a better album without them, or, if they had been mixed/mastered/produced in the same style as the rest of the album.

I discussed it with my dad and he, too, has the feeling that the first 2 songs are somehow different from the rest of the album. He thinks they've been produced differently, although there is no evidence of that.

Neon Sky is just gorgeous. I also love that James uses his falsetto voice on this album, he didn't really do that on any of the other albums.

It's funny, because I was worrying about this album based on the 2 songs I'd already heard. But those 2 songs have turned out, for me, to be the 2 weakest songs on the album Smile Love the country influences.

@Boo I sent an Email to the digital store, as no order was showing on my account...but I know I made the pre-order back in December as it is showing in my Bank statement and I would not have been able to download the 'Boy in Waiting' track without the pre-order....as yet no-one has replied to my E-mail.

@Pam....thanks, but that is Hazel's fellow not Ricky... Wink
