Hi Tod,

Hehehehhe....this is one of the girls who bought the last female t-shirts from the Montreal Gig on the 18th...just felt like writing back cuz I saw that I was being talked about Smile
I was the one girl wearing the sparkly pink top, at the far right of the stage...
Wasn't the concert awesome???? I had sooo much fun, they are amazing live, and if I was in love with them before, I am much more obsessed now...I wonder when they will come back to Montreal...of if they would ever come to Ottawa for that matter Smile
I liked how I made James and Stel smile by doing my little *dance moves* to their song Fever, hehehehee...
Oh, and hello Boo...would you happen to know if starsailor would ever come to Ottawa? or back to Montreal anytime soon?

Hello! Same answer as I gave yesterday about Toronto I'm afraid:

yesterday I wrote:
They'd very much like to, whether that's 'soon' or not, I couldn't say. We'll have to see what develops as the year unfolds, none of their schedule beyond this month of Stateside dates has been decided yet. All live dates are announced on the site when they're confirmed, so keep your eyes peeled for plans for the rest of 2004.

Hello Boo,
thank you for such a quick reply, it's really appreciated! Smile
You are doing an excellent job in keeping everybody up to date!
I am wondering, (and sorry if you already wrote this somewhere else, so many posts that I haven't read everything) what is your relationship to the band? It seems that you are really close.
I also just want to mention how I became a fan of their music. I was looking at the local paper one day and saw the name Starsailor (this was about 2 and a half years ago). I immediately thought: their name sounds like they will make it big. I can't believe that my prediction came true. Only a couple of months later I saw their video Poor Misguided Fool on MuchMusic. I saw it only once on TV here in Canada and never again! I wish that Muchmusic would play their videos more often...maybe they could do some promotional appearances on MuchMusic one day? I think that the canadian population would be eager to receive them. James has a very charismatic and powerful presence in his videos and onstage.
It's funny how I became a fan. From a name snippet in a newspaper and catching half of their song "Poor Misguided Fool" on TV.
I wonder why I only saw their video once in Canada...what a pity and waste. It would be nice to see them more on canadian entertainment television.
thank you for reading, it's just me rambling on Smile

hey heidi, ah you're a cutie!!! I remember you Embarassed
you visit Montreal couple of times in the year? if you do, tell me Rolling Eyes
Wink

Musique Plus here in Montreal (much music in Montreal) had been playing Good Souls a lot and I must have seen Poor Misguided Fool at least 5 times. but I dont have the cable anymore so I dont know if they still play some Stsailor videos...

but in the weekly newspapers( 4 of them in montreal) they had cool interviews with the band and they had good reviews for the album.
even one paper had a full page of an interview with James!

anyways, it's good to know you had a blast, sure it was an excellent night! Smile

xxx

It's no great secret, I'm very happy to explain. I work jointly for Starsailor and their UK record label, EMI Records Ltd., as a part time freelancer to manage the message board and the Good Souls Interactive section of the web site and all the enquiries etc. that these generate. I also do other occasional projects for the band and/or label on an 'as required' basis. At busy times like this with the US tour and pending album release, it tends to be all hands to the pump and everyone works very, very hard to keep things ticking over and we all have to wait to draw breath when it's a bit quieter. That doesn't seem to be happening at the moment though, the boys keep dreaming up things to keep me busy. But that's how we like it.

I was on the other side, Stel's side. I remember you. This is you isn't it? (you'll have to jack up the volume, I don't have an editing program on this computer)

Yes, BUT
1) I don't have the Sharkfood or Music was Saved. I knew from previous experience that they played about around 85 minutes which is 5 minutes too long. I of course hadn't brought an extra disc to switch during encore so had to choose between the first 2 songs or losing most of Good Souls. Having already lost half of Good Souls on 2 occasions before I decided to sacrifice the first two songs. Worse comes to worse I could paste 2 bootlegs together to make 1. They don't say anything until after Music is Saved so it makes little difference.
2) I can't do any transfers on the computer I have and the backlog I have for shows I want on CDR is already huge. It'll be a while before I get around to making it tradable.
3) I don't trade my recordings unless there is a pro-taping policy. I don't think taping policies are important as long as the recording is never broadcast, but the moment it becomes public and open to profiteering by people other than the band things are different. May sound like an odd thing but it's what I do to justify it to myself.
