They are both great album...I can't choose which is the best, because my choice changes quite often. Nowdays I like more SILENCE IS EASY, because it has different kinds of songs |

Damn it! I cant believe im being asked to choose between the two albums I love them both... and they both have their own merits.... silence is easy is obviously a natural progression from love is here, and seems a wee bit more grounded for the guys, and this is shown in the lyrics.
I dunno I really cant choose! _________________ Stuff daddies eyes.... I think IM AN ALCOHOLIC! |

The production is so much better on "Silence is Easy" that I would have to choose it.I'm not just speaking about Spector's songs either. The vocal layering,tasteful string arrangements,and overall punched up sound quality make this an exceptional follow up.I also feel that this album captures the fire and energy of their live show,which I do not think translated well on the first CD. |

There seems to be more confidence in the second album, with James' voice and the general production of the songs. And I agree with the point of S i E beign made with respect to live performances.
I really can't decide.... I've been thinking about it since I got S i E, and couldn't come to a decision then. I'm going to leave it....
Sharkfood is a song I love though, great song to open with and very atmospheric. _________________ "Why are you pushing info into me? I have no need for it, I'm from the stars....."

I don't think it is even close, 'Love is Here', by a mile. I really enjoy 'Silence is Easy', but 'Love is Here' is in my top 10 all time favorites. The pure rawness of 'Love is Here', both musically and lyrically speaking, is very similar to Jeff Buckley's 'Grace'. James is able to convey complex and emotional subject matter on 'Love is Here', that 'Silence is Easy' just can not replicate. I believe the lyrics on 'Love is Here' have much more depth, and that alone makes it one of the best albums I have ever listened to. Songs like 'She just Wept', 'Alcoholic' and 'Good Souls' have such impact, that I have found myself immersed in the lyrics, that very few other songs are able to elicit. |

The joker is perfectly correct;
I'd have to say that "love is here" is the better of the two. The second album doesn't have all of the deep emotional sincerity as the first, don't get me wrong, all of their material is fantabulous...yes I said fantabulous, but I would be inclined to listen to the first album to get a deeper impact. _________________ I will return as a Brilliant shining light
