yes I saw them as well. They were very nervous but oh so cute. I too was hoping for four to the floor but you think they could have gotten the strings there? Still good |

When they play Four to the Floor live, they use the string sounds from the original recording, as a hard drive sound track through the mixing desk, they don't use the strings there live, it would be hugely expensive amongst other things - and there wouldn't be room on the stage at most of the placed they play! I think there's only the Manchester Apollo that I've seen that would be big enough for several other musos. Anyone who saw them at Leeds UU in September will tell you that there was hardly room for the four (well, five, Mark was with them) of them on the stage as it was! I now have a mental image of several violinists in a gymnastic style pyramid, all trying to keep balance and keep playing.
Have a listen to the KCRW live session they did at http://www.kcrw.com/cgi-bin/db/kcrw.pl?show_code=mb&tmplt_type=program to see what it sounds like when they do it live. _________________ Keeper of Good Souls Interactive at Starsailor.net

I think Ben would have had to have been the bottom of the pyramid at Leeds Like you say Boo there was only just room for the 5 of them. _________________ "Happiness will get you in the end" |

I shall try not to think of this subject while travelling on the bus - laughing out loud for no apparent reason is pretty high up the bus travellers list of no-nos _________________ "Happiness will get you in the end" |

I was out and about recently and suddenly remembered Peter Kay's joke about standing on the platform on Preston station and ended up having to hold my scarf up over my face to stifle my guffaws. It's my own fault, I told Mr Boo that next time I'd be standing on a train platform I wouldn't be able to stop it from entering my mind unwanted and I'd no doubt guffaw aloud. Same as getting the giggles something chronic on the moving pavement at Manchester Picaddily station the day I went down to ULU - I did the Billy Connolly slip and "let out a wee astonished noise" (I didnt realise it was even moving) and by the time I reached the other end I was laughing openly and loudly at my own ridiculousness - trying to look out for blokes with remote controls hiding behind the potted plants. I did get looks.
If you don't know the Peter Kay joke, I'll try and explain, although the punchline is a sight gag. _________________ Keeper of Good Souls Interactive at Starsailor.net

It's supposedly happened to his mate. Anouncement heard over the tannoy at Preston train staton; "Please take care on platform 4, there's an inter-city trian due in five minutes and it isn't stopping. It's a high speed train, so please stand behind the yellow line or you might get sucked off."
Peter Kay, runs forward thrusting his groin forwards shouting "bring it on, I'll have some of that!"
Boo Jnr was watching the DVD earlier while he ate his tea and I went into the kitchen for a drink and took a big gulp just as Peter said; "don't people say the daftest things, like 'I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole' - who the hell do you know who even owns a barge pole, or even a ten foot pole" I snorted grape juice down my nose. _________________ Keeper of Good Souls Interactive at Starsailor.net
