I thought I might go along to buy my cd from there on the 15th BUT can anyone tell me...
-What time does HMV open?
-How long will it take them to sell 150 cds?
-Will there be people camped out there all night to get in first?
-What time will Starsailor play?
-Why don't they just let anyone and everyone in? They did when Feeder played - I didn't even have to buy anything and only popped along a few minutes before the set started
I'm in a bit of a quandry as it would be cheaper to buy the album from CD Wow (although I'll have to wait l..o..n..g..e..r which is bad)/easier to buy it from the cd shop 5 mins from my house instead of trekking all the way to Oxford Street which will probably take me an hour and cost me £12 presuming I have to catch the train before 9.30...
Hmmm... any thoughts? Oh and thanks for reading my long ramble!

I'm not really sure how big starsailor are at the moment and how quickly they'll sell out... I thought 150 would take a while, but my Mum said she reckoned people usually queue for those kind of things, so all in all, I might as well just go when it opens and keep my fingers and toes crossed from now until then! |

I dont think there will be a huge queue personally, but theres bound to be abit of one seeing as they are playing a gig.
I'd go just to see the gig but I think I might be away then I have already pre-ordered my copy from cdwow. _________________

It'll take them a while to sell 150 copies surely. Although it does raise a questoin, if some sad obsessed rich fan buys them all do they get like a private gig?!
I can't go - I'm on holiday dammit! _________________ "I need my vehicles and animals and then I will be alright' |

That's me then
Of course if they DO sign it, I'll have to frame it and buy another copy... |

i haven't been on the MB in quite a while. what's this about a signing at HMV in london? i'm flying to london next week and i purposely scheduled my return on the 16th so that i could buy the new cd on the 15th, but what are you talking about only 150 copies available?
this is distressing me some. |

This is copied from the news page of the web site:
Quote: | HMV Oxford Circus in store appearance
Starsailor will be appearing at HMV's London, Oxford Circus branch on Monday 15th September to sign copies of their new album 'Silence is Easy' and play a 25 minute live set. Wristbands for this event will be given away to the first 150 people to buy the album on Monday 15th from the Oxford Circus HMV, and through competitions on XFM. |

oh, ok. i see. so even if i'm not one of those 150 people at that designated hmv store (location unknown to me), i'll still be able to get a copy. that's all i'm worried about. cuz we won't be able to get this stuff anytime soon in the states. sad. |

You will be able to buy the album from any high street record chain, independent music shop and even supermarkets like Tesco and Asda and Woolworths, you won't have any problem buying it on Monday 15th. The 150 limit is purely to qaulify for a free ticket/wristband for the live in-store performance at HMV on release date. _________________ Keeper of Good Souls Interactive the official fan archive at Starsailor.net
