just got home from an awesome gig!!
first of all a big applause for the support act Bell x1: they play absolutely fabulous music, very enjoying; and it's great to see Starsailor picking a supporting band that doesn't suck (still recovering from a trauma of LIVE's support act in brussels)
Bell x1 mentionned they didn't have an album out yet, but you can download some songs for free on www.bellx1.com
and then...le moment suprême (like both bands would say: more about it later in my ps )
here's the setlist of starsailor already:
sharkfood (first a tape, then the band continued live)
music was saved
alcoholic
poor misguided fool
fidelity
lullaby
telling them
love is here
4 to the floor
born again
tie up my hands
silence is easy
(encore)
some of us
"don't know what song, i think it was another cover"
good souls
and if that wasn't enough, james sang jeff buckley's "Hallelujah", with the finishing touch of Johhny Cash's " i walk the line"!! o yeah baby!!
(i think that was after 'music was saved')
The band really seemed to enjoy the place and there was a great interaction with the crowd...
Sooo, this was my first and absolutely not my last concert of Starsailor!!
Afterwards i ended up with a signed set list and a drumstick
Thank you guys!!!
i almost forgot my ps:
so here it is:
PS: looks like both bands seem to have a problem with the language in Belgium; i'm afraid that more than 3/4 weren't French, but i guess Bell x1 didn't seem to know that
Also James started to greet in French, but also asked the crowd how to say certain things in FLEMISH (yes, that's the language we speak over there ).
Okay, they were excused, since brussels is bilangual _________________ light up a cigarette, she said, and calm the f*ck down |

I've also been to the concert in Brussel! And it was great!
it started good with Bell X1 and starsailor only maked it better!
They played all the songs I wanted to hear except "coming down".
And it was funny when James wanted to talk Flemish, even if it wasn't that good
for the setlist that justagirl gave:
the song in the encore you didn't knew is FEVER, and it isn't a cover, its a song from their first album "love is here". |

well yeah, after i wrote it, i thought about it as not being a cover because a lot of the people seemed to know the song
so it kinda sucked for me (and that's only due to my fault hehe) that i haven't got the first album YET (i was already in search for it last week, but didn't quite find it at first sight), luckily i kinda knew alcoholic and lullaby (2 great songs!! )
anyways, it was a great concert and i hope for more to come! : _________________ light up a cigarette, she said, and calm the f*ck down |

Fever really is a great song! I bet you will love it when you find the cd!!
if you still have problems finding it, they still have it in some recordshops in Antwerpen or in the Fnac!
succes with your search! |

then you were kinda standing in front of me... when did they take off your camera? when you entered the building, i assume; coz there were quite some people that were taking pictures and i didn't saw anybody taking theirs... _________________ light up a cigarette, she said, and calm the f*ck down |

yeah when i had to open my bag & then they saw my camera... and i had to give it to that man...
so those people who were taking pics found a way to take their camera into the building... but noone was actually allowed to take pictures. they just had some luck that the bodyguards didn't see them when they were taking pictures...... i just didn't have any luck _________________ *~*Gianna*~* |

one hint: try to put the camera in the pocket of your pants next time: i always put it there if i bring it with me, and they've never checked it there _________________ light up a cigarette, she said, and calm the f*ck down |

thanks for the hint i thought it was allowed to take your camera into the building, it was actually the first time they had checked my bag...
so yeah... if i knew it... but it's kinda a big camera... i can't put it in my pocket... anyway, next time i'll find a way
did you take any pictures btw? _________________ *~*Gianna*~* |

I saw starsailor for the first time at Werchter one year ago and loved them emmidiatly...when I knew they would also come to Pukkelpop this year I quickly bought my tickets because I didn't wanted to miss it ....
and now the third time I saw them ...wauw
I was there too on the front row , I stood right in front of James and enjoyed every single second of the gig mmmm ...*dreaming away again* , I thought it was very intimate because we where soooo close to the stage, just great!... aaaaaaand I have the setlist hanging on to my bedroomwall now
I have already downloaded some songs from BellX1 and they're indeed very good , hope to see them again at Werchter or something like that...
A good hint if you wanna take pictures...just put two cameras in your bag (a normal one and a disposible camera or so)...it really works because they only search for one camera _________________ **I wAs BoRn AgAiN**

If you were standing on the front row and got the setlist, then was I standing behind you to the right!
i was also wondering if someone got some pictures?
i didn't take my camera along, because with another concert in the AB the security were standing between the audience and if they saw a camera they took it away!
But normally I also put mine in my pocket! and that has always worked for concerts or Werchter or pukkelpop or so! |
