A number of people have contacted me over recent days to advise me that they're not receiving notification e-mails when they get PMs or topics are replied to.

I have been noticing error messages myself over the last couple of days when I've posted and obviously someone else higher up the topic has asked for notification of a reply, saying it can't generate an e-mail. There has also been an increase in the number of messages I'm getting about it, so the problem appears to be escalating.

I have sent copies of the error messages with full details to the web hosts and they will look into the problem, it's not in an area I have access to unfortunately.

Whilst that is inconvenient to members, more worrying is that new members registering aren't receving their e-mail messages with the activation URL to activate their account and allow them to log in and post.

If you register on the board and encounter such an error message and don't subsequently receive an activation e-mail and are unable to log in, please contact me (click the [email] link in the bottom of every one of my posts or my profile) and I can manually override this process myself on a per member basis.

I'll need an e-mail message sent from the address you've used to register on the message board and your chosen username (please ensure you type it accurately) and I can then manually activate your account.
