|
|
Detroit had the honour of being the first gig of the '04 US tour - it was a great set, all the usual favourites were played and a good mixture from the first and second albums (why did they start the US tour when the new CD isn't even available?) The band were on stage for about 90 minutes - as per usual in the venue, there was radio feedback in one of the amps, and they turned the sound up at one point - there was an advert for Advil playing, so James said they were sponsoring the gig!
Anyway, James' voice was on top form and the whole band were really tight. James had plenty of chat for the audience - at St Andrews Hall there were plenty of people from the UK, including a bunch of girls from Warrington - per James, he said the band were trying to get away from them for a while!
Overall, the gig was a definite 10 out of 10 - come back soon guys!
Cheers, Degsy |

jonathan rice was pretty good as well, although he was incredibly nervous and his hands were shaking something awful. |

in that creepily awkward way, yes. the part of his set where he went on about "demons" and then played a song jack white could have written...well it threw me off a bit. |

The Detroit show was superb. I have nothing but good things to say about those boys. I really appreciated the McCartney vibe coming from Stel. Very Sergeant Pepper indeed. I apologize for the redundancy, as this is an already out of date topic. The untimely response on my behalf is a direct result of this being my first post. Let the games begin...

I honestly can't remember making a post saying Johnathan was hot! I honestly thought I'd made one saying how although his music was nothing new or inventory but I do really like his songs, and he has a very classic sounding voice. I also think that his song writting shows great promise.
But yeah, he's really cute and adorable I think it's the hair that turns him from cute to hot. There is something about his nervous performance and way he handles himself that reminds me a lot of Matthew Jay. _________________ You're not here
