looking forward to a fabulous show tonight at Irving
a U2 cover tonight would be much appreciated and would blow away a good part of the crowd... |

the nyc gig was far better than the boston gig...the crowd was better, the lights were better, the band was better
the cover de jour was thunder road but we got the added bonus of streets on electric guitar as well as a bit of a "work in progress" during the acoustic bit |

agreed. show was outstanding.
many thanks to the band for the U2 cover
side note -- stood near an esteemed rock critic during the show. he was moving, singing along and seemed to enjoy it, too. |

you must have been standing right by me! I was on the left and yep, right next to David Fricke. Made sure to scream extra loud because of that.
the show was great! so much energy and so much fun. and the Streets cover was sooooo cool! I've now converted my boyfriend to the Starsailor side. Can't wait for the guys to come back! |

i'm out of college for quite a while now, but it seems like new paltz has been receiving pretty good ratings lately.
if you're going there as a one-year exchange student thing, it's probably a good choice. It's always had really strong exchange programs (meaning you won't be the only exchange student around) and it's not unreasonably far from NYC, Philly and Boston (spend as little time on campus as possible).
i did a semester at UEA Norwich during college and it was a blast. if you'd like to chat about the exchange student experience, feel free to send me a private message.
good luck! |
