Posted: Fri Sep 10, 2004 6:19 pm Post subject: Win tickets for Starsailor in Liverpool with Radio 2 |
|
|
As you've hopefully seen on the news page, Starsailor will be playing in Liverpool on Sunday 3rd October as part of BBC Radio 2's 'Live in Liverpool' week, running from 2nd to 9th October. Support for the Starsailor show will come from Amy Winehouse and Ed Harcourt. Tickets are limited, highly sought after, but free!
Starsailor have reserved a number of tickets to give away exclusively to registered message board members. To be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets, please fill in this entry form on the Good Souls site and take careful note of exactly what you're required to do.
All lucky winners will be notified by e-mail and will need to confirm they can attend, within 48 hours of being advised, so that we can re-allocated places if they're not going to be used. So take care typing the right e-mail address and make sure you check the account on the day winners are announced.
Only one entry per person please and ensure that your details are all accurate, I will validate membership details (so view your profile before you enter) and your address must be correct in case we need to post anything out. You may be asked for ID at the venue.
Good luck!
Competition now closed, link to the form now removed. _________________ Keeper of Good Souls Interactive at Starsailor.net

Wow! Cool competition. Unfortunatly I can't participate as it would be quite impossible to travel to Liverpool on Sunday and be back for school on Monday...
But good luck to anyone else! _________________ Two tall men, neither young nor old. So much alike were they, the sons of Elrond, that few could tell them apart: dark-haired, grey-eyed, and their faces elven-fair, clad alike in bright mail beneath cloakes of silver-grey. |

Please enter very carefully - I've already seen several entries that have excluded themselves through pure carelessness in typing their names or more importantly - their e-mail addresses - I can't let you know you've won if you enter a nonesense e-mail address or make typos in it!
Please look very carefully at what you're doing, I'd hate someone to miss out for the sake of a careless typo! _________________ Keeper of Good Souls Interactive at Starsailor.net

I can't wait till the 20th..... I got through on the phones at last for Travis - someone else I want to see, yet thinking about this now has made me think.... calling doesn't seem to reserve your tickets as I was told I hope your successful getting your tickets whilst my mates have been told for Embrace good luck
Quote: | Tickets are also available from September 13th by calling the Radio 2 ticketline |
That bits confused me......
Are tickets actually reserved for all bands if you call by phone or are you put into some kind of draw where those that requested tickets get randomally selected and tickets handed to those? im confused totally now.
HELP!!!! someone explain
btw, the guy I spoke to asked me did you listen to somebody's show and hear about this, I was like, who's show? I honestly didn't have a clue who the guy was! I don't think i've ever listened to Radio 2 for longer than 5 minutes either, Radio 1, Radio City and Rock FM are much better |

I'm afraid that I've no idea how Radio 2 are running this, the information they give out is very vague and I've not had any more information on this than you can see on the BBC's web site: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/events/liverpool/ perhaps they are giving out more information on air - I didn't listen to anything yesterday. I've had a good dig round the site to see if there are any rules, which there are for the competition for the weekend VIP tickets, see http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/competitions/liverpool.shtml but not for the normal gig tickets
You'd need to direct your enquiry to Radio 2 really, I can only answer for what I'm doing in respect of it, but I'll see what more I can find out today. _________________ Keeper of Good Souls Interactive at Starsailor.net

Extended competition entry deadline - other deadlines as published.
I'm going to extend the entry deadline (which was supposed to end 35 minutes ago) until 7pm BST on Sunday evening. All of the other deadlines and dates will remain. I've got ahead of myself slightly as an appointment was cancelled this afternoon, so I can allow entries up until Sunday and will still advise winners as scheduled on Monday.
As before, please ensure that you fill everything in carefully and check for silly typos in e-mail addresses and the like - I can't potentially let you know, if your e-mail address is wrong.
Please note that it is an entry requirement that you must be registered on the message board - a lot of entrants have excluded themselves by not being and I do check every one. _________________ Keeper of Good Souls Interactive at Starsailor.net

The competition is now closed.
Winners will be notified on Monday 20th September (in an e-mail from me) and will be required to confirm that they will be able to attend the gig, in a reply e-mail, no later than 5pm on Wednesday 22nd September.
Failure to reply by that deadline will result in tickets being allocated to a new winner. _________________ Keeper of Good Souls Interactive at Starsailor.net

That's the perils of using AOL unfortunately - they cache pages on their server, so you obviously saw an old copy - I added a note in big red letters that the competition was closed and removed the code to allow the form to be submitted shortly after the deadline. Sorry, I try and be as clear as possible in these things, but there's no way to circumvent AOL's odd way of working. _________________ Keeper of Good Souls Interactive at Starsailor.net
