I was tidying a bit before moving and found this tape I had made of a Starsailor acoustic session. It was recorded in Paris for the French radio Le Mouv' after the release of On the Outside.

I had totally forgotten this tape and well, it was great rediscovering Starsailor in an acoustic version (the questions gave me a little bit of deja-vu !)

Anyway, to the topic :
During this concert they played Atlantic City (a Bruce Springsteen cover) for the first time apparently.
I wondered if they had played it anywhere else, and if there was any recording of the song.

As for "Atlantic city" cover, I think that James played it at "Studio C" for KBCO radio in Denver last September as you can see in their American Tour Diary - part 9, here:

Unfortunately, no archives on the radio website...

I know that they played it also for one of the sessions of "KCRW Morning Becomes Eclectic", but this session isn't on the radio website anymore Rolling Eyes

I think it is still available - just not at the moment 'due to popular demand'. I think it's this one - they did it in the acoustic session they did in London at the BBC for the show, with Richard and Stel and I've got the date as 6th January 2006 and yet the KCRW page has it as 2005 - although the file name appears to be correct. http://www.kcrw.com/music/programs/mb/mb050106starsailor

I think they did it as the last song that faded at the end. Hopefully it will play at a quieter time of day - perhaps try in the morning European time. I've never had that message before on that site - unless that's what it plays for a broken link.

You were faster than me, I'd just tried editing the date in the URL too, wondering if that would fix it, which it did!
