Wilma settled on the carpet outside my office this morning, all curled up asleep with her back against the landing banister railings. I went down the stairs to get something and she turned round and stuck her head through them to monitor me, without moving her body at all. Luckily she stayed just long enough for me to grab the camera and get one shot. It was very dark and it was a slow shutter speed, so it's a bit soft, but just how cute is this:

Very good indeed. You could certainly expand on that. Imaginary insects are usually right behind your head over one shoulder, so you wonder if there's someone behind you - we call that look "axe murderer or moth?".
There's the area of their brain that very carefully and accurately calculates exactly where to place themselves so that either ears or tail are right between you and the telly or whatever you're reading. Which then starts twitching just enough to maximise the obliteration.
Can opener sonar has now been replaced, due to rung pull cans and sachets to some extent, although a cat is failing miserably if it waits to hear the can opener before asking for food, they usually only get to the can opening scenario by hassling you relentlessly for 2 hours. The sonar really kicks in when you peel the plastic from the top of a packet of cold meat - ham, beef etc. to make your own lunch. A cat can hear that sound from 2 miles away. _________________ Keeper of Good Souls Interactive the official fan archive at Starsailor.net

I've found a new talent I appear to have. I regularly have conversations with Wilma in cat - she meows, I say something back - sometimes in English - sometimes in cat. I'm clearly either too good, or not good enough at cat - we were just having a conversation of that nature - well, she was whining pitifully for her lunch, I was telling her to bugger off and wait till I got mine. I held one particular meow for a long time, making it really whiny, sort of absent-mindedly mocking how she whines for food.
I heard an odd sound behind me, looked round and Wilma was up on her tip toes, back arched, all her hair stood on end and her tail bushed up and hissing at me. I had a job convincing her it was only me and I meant her no harm.
So I'll have to be more careful what I say in future! That was clearly offensive. She's peeping at me from behind another chair at the moment saying that she's not coming out until I stop swearing. _________________ Keeper of Good Souls Interactive the official fan archive at Starsailor.net

That's why I love cats so much. |

We have two cats of our own,but this little black and white kitten seems to have adopted us. I think she's a girl and she seems to have been living in our garden for the past week.First of all she was really timid and ran away when approached. We put food out for her and she would eat it when we weren't there. Now, due to Destiny returning her miaows, she is getting very tame and even comes into the house. I will take a picture of her tomorrow when I am off. |

Here's the kitten;it's not easy to photograph as it won't keep still. One of my cats is in the background.
That arm belongs to Andy.....he is keeping the kitten on the step by playing with her. As you can see, he is no longer in bed!!!
The kitten must have been abandoned by it's mother as it doesn't know how to clean herself. |

Yes, thank you Theano. The problem now is stopping him from doing things that may not be suitable in his condition. He's at that in between stage where he's not quite well enough to go back to work, but he doesn't need to rest all the time either and he's getting bored. I am very grateful that the injection seems to have been effective. |
