I've never had any scones, but being Dutch and all I simply have to go with the cheese scone

You would like them:
Cheese Scones
Ingredients:
150g (6oz) Self Raising Flour
1x2.5ml spoon (half tsp) salt
pepper and mustard
25g (1oz) margarine
75g (3oz) cheese grated
1 egg
30ml (2tbsp) milk
Method..
1. Mix flour and seasonings, rub in margarine
2. Stir in Cheese, reserving a little for the tops
3. Mix to a soft dough with the egg and milk reserving a little to brush tops
4. Roll out to a round just over 1cm (half inch) thick cut into 8 Triangles
5. Place on greased baking tray brush with egg and milk and sprinkle with grated cheese
6. Bake in hot oven 222c 425f Gas mark 7 for 15mins |
