Starsailor have just confirmed that they will now support the Rolling Stones on their Bigger Bang Tour at the HSH Nordbank Arena in Hamburg tomorrow - Wednesday 15th August - doors 7pm.

They have jumped in at the last minute to replace Amy Winehouse who has cancelled several gigs she was scheduled for this week.

I did some searching before I posted to see what information was out there (that was my understanding too) and the latest news stories seem to suggest that she's in the care of her father as she thinks he'll do her more good than rehab - she was quoted as saying that "rehab's a cop out". Her father is reputedly looking for a less central house for her to get away from the bad influences and pressures and chill a bit.

Either way, the Stones' audience will get a treat tomorrow. Laughing

If she isnt better by the weekend I wonder (wistfully) wether Starsailor might "step in" at V to replace her! As I said - wishful thinking!

how lucky they are ! I saw miss winehouse at rock werchter and it was the most horrible gig I saw in years, she looked awful like a heroin addict more then like a drunk...

According to the tabloids, Amy has now entered rehab. Although no announcement has been made about V festival, it's not looking as likely now that she'll play.

Its a shame that AMy Winehouse is in trouble, but its a great opporunity for the boys to get pally with Jagger again!

When she played in Liverpool on the same bill as Starsailor I wasn't very impressed - well, I fell asleep which sort of says everything.
