No he's not known for it. He's very much into Nu Rave and championed Klaxons from the very beginning of their career.

I've had conversations about Starsailor with him and although he's not a fan of them at all, I don't think he has a particular dislike for them more than any other bands that he doesn't really care for.

#I'm staying well clear of the NME arguement!

Well, I've already had half a row with the bride to be as she wsan't keen on us having Toby with us, but we are unwilling to leave him for the weekend so he is coming with us. Therefore its going to be rather hard to sneak off to Warrington which will drive me mad as its not far away.

However, if I can drive by then and we have a new car I might do it anyway.

Gosh, Im sorry about that Emma. I think this is the very reason why I avoid weddings like the plague.

Fake an illness, draw some comedy spots on and make a dash for it. Then use same comedy spots to clear a route to the front.

I have 3 problems with that plan.

1) I'm doing the wedding photography
2) I'd have to leave Toby and Alan alone in a hotel room in Liverpool
3) The wedding itself is the Friday but the reception is the Saturday so I'd have to miraculously recover in time!

Other than that I'll be there!

I'm thinking of getting tickets for the Balloch Festival at Loch Lomond next Saturday. Does anyone know what time Starsailor will be on the main stage?

Hubby wont go to the whole day but he might be persuaded to drive if i tell him i only want to see Starsailor and Feeder!!

thanks
Sandra

Obviously on a Friday evening I can't check it formally - which I will next week for you - but I'd guess - extrapolating it from the line up and opening time (12:00) that it would be around 7pm-ish.

I'll try and get a better answer on Monday for you.

My guess was pretty good this time - officially their allocated stage time at the moment is 7:15pm, but this is not a final confirmed time yet - the organisers may yet need to make adjustments - but it's going to be around that time.

I forgot to mention that T4 are covering this event this year for the first time and we're waiting on their schedule - there may well be some aired coverage of the performance and potentially an interview - I'll post details if we get anything confirmed. Officially they can't air any of the performances without specific permissions in advance, so we should get to know beforehand of any coverage the band may get.

I will be the one with my nose pressed up against the glass. Not to happy about the unreserved seats. I must have been one of the first to purchase surely. My youngest is coming ( a midgit like his mum) and we need good seats. But then i suppose there are no bad seats at the Parr Hall, nevertheless really looking forward to it. Went to Jabez (think thats what it was called) a couple of years and the Apollo after that but to see them in my home town is going to be great. Laughing Wink Laughing
